A Historic Battle Site and Memorial

The Bloody Shiloh battlefield, site of the April 1862 battle, is an important historical landmark. The brutal two-day engagement marked a significant moment in the Civil War. The park preserves this significant site and also commemorates the subsequent events, including the siege and battle at nearby Corinth, Mississippi. As one Union veteran put it, “We wanted a square, stand-up fight and got all we wanted of it.” The site offers visitors a chance to reflect on this pivotal moment in history.

Opened in 1973, the Pickwick Landing State Park Golf Course is a local favorite and a popular destination for golfers from across the region. Located near the Tennessee-Mississippi-Alabama border, the course offers a unique challenge with tree-lined fairways and 21 strategically placed bunkers.

The signature Hole #2 is a tight dogleg right par 4, stretching 396 yards with out-of-bounds areas guarding the entire right side of the fairway. Golfers will enjoy both the challenge and the breathtaking views the course provides.
